Terms & Conditions

 

  1. This competition is open to the mailing list of The British Film Institute (“The BFI”). Please note the person named in the entry must be aged 16 years or older as at date of entry. The Sponsor of the Free Prize Draw is The British Film Institute, 21 Stephen Street | London | W1T 1LN
  2. The British Film Institute will be assisted in the administration of the Free Prize Draw by RED C Research Ltd; Griffins Court, 24-32 London Road, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 1JX (“RED C”). Employees and contractors of The British Film Institute or RED C and their respective agents, representatives and immediate family members are excluded from participating in the competition. For these purposes “immediate family members” include a spouse, partner, child, step child, grandchild, brother, step brother, sister, step sister, parent, step parent or legal guardian.
  3. By entering this Free Prize Draw:
    1. You, the entrant, represent and warrant that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, that you are eligible to participate in the Free Prize Draw, and that all of the information provided as part of your entry is accurate, does not violate any third party’s legal rights or any applicable laws; and
    2. You, the entrant, agree to be bound by the Promoter’s interpretation of these Terms & Conditions which is final in all matters relating to the Free Prize Draw.
  4. The Promoter is entitled at its sole discretion to disqualify entrants or withdraw the prize if they become aware of any possible dishonesty or fraud or breach of these Terms & Conditions.
  5. To enter the competition, entrants must submit their entry via the appropriate channel and by the respective stated deadline (the “Closing Date”).

Would you like to be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 5 prizes of £100 for taking part in this survey? The draw will take place on 4th August 2021 and the prize will be distributed via PayPal. If you choose to participate in a prize draw we need your personal data to contact you if you are the winner and to distribute the prize to you. For this process we will require your name, email address and contact number. These details will be retained securely only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which we collected. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time.

  1. Participants must complete the survey in full
  2. On 4th August 2021 there will be prize draw. Entries into the prize draw will be accepted for as long as the survey is open to The BFI mailing list.
  3. Entries not submitted in accordance with these Terms & Conditions or that are illegible, incomplete or altered will be disqualified.
  4. Only one valid entry to the competition is permitted per person.
  5. The winners of the draw will be chosen at random from all proper entries received by the Closing Date.
  6. The winning entry will be contacted directly via email or phone as per the contact details supplied by the entrant no later than 5 working days after prize draw.
  7. Entries received after the Closing Date will not be included in the competition. Incomplete entries will not be eligible for the competition. RED C will not be responsible for any entries that are not received for any reason by the Closing Date, whether lost, delayed, corrupted or otherwise, and whether or not due to any technical difficulties or malfunctions.
  8. RED C accepts no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to this competition, including, but not limited to, incomplete, corrupt or incorrect entries or for any malfunctions, errors or viruses in the software that has been designed to maintain entrants’ details, or for any incompatibility with all, or any, hardware and/or software that entrants may use. RED C does not guarantee that any relevant website for competition entry will be available at all times or at any specific time. Proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

  10. By entering the competition, entrants agree to accept and be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by all decisions of RED C.
  11. RED C reserves the right to amend or withdraw the competition in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside its reasonable control.
  12. RED C reserves the right to terminate or temporarily suspend this competition in the event of technical or other difficulties that might compromise its integrity.
  13. The decision of the Promoter shall be final and no correspondence shall be entered into in that regard
  14. The prize winners will be notified at the Contact Email and/or Contact Telephone Number within 5 working days of the prize draw.
  15. The prize winners have one week to claim their prize i.e. must confirm receipt of notification within one month of being contacted by RED C. Failure to confirm receipt of notification within the stated time will result in disqualification and another winner being selected.
  16. The winner will be advised of prize delivery procedure within 5 working days of the winner confirming receipt of notification from RED C.
  17. The prize consists of 5 x £100 prizes distributed via PayPal.
  18. The prize is not transferable. There is no cash value or alternative to this prize.
  19. RED C reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Free Prize Draw at any time. The prize may change at any time without notification and is subject to availability.
  20. RED C reserves the right at its sole discretion to alter or substitute the prize with any items of equal or greater value for any reason and without notification.
  21. RED C does not take responsibility for any delays or difficulties experienced in the supply or use of the prize.
  22. The information you provide, including personal data, will be used by the Promoter in connection with the competition. Entrants’ personal data will be used by RED C in accordance with the RED C Privacy Statement. The prize may change at any time without notification and is subject to availability.
  23. RED C reserves the right at its sole discretion to alter or substitute the prize with any items of equal or greater value for any reason and without notification.
  24. RED C does not take responsibility for any delays or difficulties experienced in the supply or use of the prize.
  25. Any personal data relating to you the entrant will be used in accordance with UK data protection legislation. Entrants’ personal data may be used in accordance with the RED C Privacy policy Statement as part of these Terms and Conditions. This is available at https://www.redcresearch.com/privacy-policy/ or a hard copy may be requested from RED C. Data relating to entrants will be retained by RED C for a reasonable period after the competition closes to assist RED C to operate competitions in a consistent manner and to deal with any queries.   26. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter accepts no liability for any loss suffered by you in relation to this competition. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions shall exclude the liability of the Promoters for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.
  27. Use of a false name or address by a competition entrant will disqualify them from receiving any prize.
  28. The competition and these Terms & Conditions are governed by UK Law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK Courts which shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes which may arise out of or in connection with the Free Prize Draw. Any disclaimer of liability by RED C under these Terms and Conditions is enforceable to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Each of the provisions of these Terms and Conditions is severable and if any such provision is held by any court or other competent authority to be illegal, void or unenforceable in whole or in part, the legality, validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall not be affected or impaired.
  29. To enter the prize draw, you will be asked to answer a simple question at the end of the survey. The winner will be randomly selected by RED C, using a random number generator associated with the respondent’s ID.
  30. RED C will use your contact details for the purposes of notifying you that you are the winner and to administer the prize to you.
